Texas Tech University

Letter from the Superintendent

Dear TTU K-12 Community:

What an exciting time it is at TTU K-12! We have had many changes in the last few months that have given us the ability to provide a much more robust educational experience for our students and teachers. We will continue with innovations in the future.

Changes have included:
• New university leadership under the direction of TTU eLearning and Academic Partnerships.
• An official rebranding from TTUISD to TTU K-12.
• A complete upgrade of our Student Information System (SIS) as well as moving to Blackboard as a Learning Management System (LMS).

Coming in the future:
• AP courses
• Career and Technology (CTE) courses

These improvements will enable our teachers and administration to serve the TTU K-12 stateside and international students and parents in a much more efficient manner. The ability of our teachers to communicate with their students, within a system that welcomes this interaction, is most welcome to our instruction process.

The additions of the Career and Technology Education (CTE) and Advanced Placement (AP) courses are very exciting to our district. These courses will enhance the opportunities for students to achieve both their higher education and vocational dreams.

I want to commend our teachers and administrators for their due diligence and professionalism as we move into a new era. We have a wide array of TTU K-12 longevity as well as general experience within our staff and you are all very much appreciated.

We have hit the ground running with our new opportunities and we are honored to have each of you as part of the TTU K-12 family!

Best Regards,
