Happy 2020, TTU K-12 Community!

Because TTU K-12 doesn't follow a traditional school calendar, we have had students working on their courses throughout the holiday season and into the new year, so I am not going to give you a typical "Welcome Back" message. Instead, I will update you on some of TTU K-12's international and special initiatives.

Toward the end of 2019, TTU K-12 had a team visit with schools in Brazil. Because the Brazilian school year is opposite that of the United States, our TTU K-12 staff got to participate in high school commencement ceremonies and celebrate with some of our graduates. You can learn more about our international visit in this newsletter.

As you know, TTU K-12 is a great option for students not being served by a traditional school. That is why, right before the holiday break, I traveled to Washington D.C. to meet with individuals from the Office of International Education with the U.S. Department of State. In the next few months, we hope to be able to provide TTU K-12 classes to U.S. students living abroad as their parents work for various U.S. embassies and consulates.

In other exciting news, last fall TTU K-12 agreed to partner with a local non-profit, OneVoice Home, to provide curriculum to the students they are serving. OneVoice Home's mission is to provide a safe home, a safe place, for girls who have been trafficked. The organization is working to help these girls get an education, receive counseling and transform their lives. Find out more in this newsletter.

We continue to work for you, our TTU K-12 students, parents, families, teachers and counselors by providing a high-quality education to students wherever they are. As always, please feel free to reach out with any questions, comments, suggestions or concerns about the TTU K-12 program.
