Shelley Jackson, a retired teacher of 31 years, brings her experience to a talented TTU K-12 team. She is a Texas Tech alumna and looks forward to doing her part to mold the future's children.

Shelley started her career as a teaching assistant in Lamesa and Lubbock Independent School Districts. She taught second through eighth grade English Language Arts and Reading. After receiving encouragement from her mentors, Shelly decided to pursue her degree while raising her teenage children.

“I am so thankful they [mentors] affirmed my passion for teaching, and I can continue to build relationships and mentor these students and parents.”

Shelley joined TTU K-12 in October 2020 as an academic advisor and helps students and parents achieve their academic goals. She decided to join TTU K-12 because of the flexible hours it allowed for students and for herself. She also liked that she could be an active part of student education.

Shelley is proud to be part of TTU K-12 and believes the most satisfying aspect of her work is seeing students so excited about earning their high school diploma.
