Registration

Registration is open for the 2026 Big XII Student Government Conference. Each delegation should register its attendees using the conference registration form.

Registration is $125 per delegate and closes Sept. 10, 2026. Online payment is not available through the registration system. Delegations will be invoiced after submitting the form.

Hotel & Travel

The Overton Hotel is adjacent to Texas Tech and serves as the conference host hotel. Mention the Big 12 Student Government Conference room block when booking by phone.

The hotel provides complimentary airport shuttle service. Self-parking is $10 per day and valet parking is $25 per day.

Traveling to Lubbock

Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport is approximately 15 minutes from campus and is served by Southwest, American and United airlines. Rental cars are available at the airport.

Hotel booking note: The reservation page automatically enters the conference check-in date. Select your appropriate check-out date and update the reservation before completing your booking.

The conference begins Thursday, Oct. 1 and concludes Sunday, Oct. 4. Unless otherwise noted, conference attire is business casual. Conference transportation will be provided for scheduled off-site activities.

• 6:30 p.m. Bus departure for International Cultural Center
• 7-8:30 p.m. Welcome dinner, International Cultural Center
• 8:45 p.m. Return to hotel

Friday, Oct. 2

• 8:30 a.m. Departure for Texas Tech Club
• 9-9:30 a.m. Opening Session, Texas Tech Club
• 9:30-10:30 a.m. Big 12 School Presentations, Group One A
• 10:30-11:30 a.m. Brunch
• 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Big 12 School Presentations, Group One B
• 1-3 p.m. Womble Football Center Tour
• 3:30-5 p.m. Big 12 on the Hill Discussion
• 6:30-8 p.m. Dinner, United Supermarts Arena, City Bank Conference Center

Leadership Roundtables

Roundtable groups will include student body presidents, external vice presidents, speakers of the House/internal vice presidents, chiefs of staff and cabinet members, senators and advisors.
