Reason(s) why you joined the staff senate?

There have been times here at TTU when I didn't have a voice, and Staff Senate gives me that voice to help make decisions that shape the university. Also, I love being able to help people directly, which is why I've always loved serving on the committees that I have.

Favorite Texas Tech memory or favorite Texas Tech sport?

When asked my fav TTU memory, I always say, "Tuesday." Why, you ask? I ask, why not!

But in reality, my very first TTU football game ever was the infamous #1 UT vs #7 TTU game back in 2008. It was my very first year working at TTU in my previous department that also helped work the student gate at the games. Matthew McConaughey tried to come in the student gate and got mad when we wouldn't let him in - simply, he was not a student of TTU! Something was said like, "It's fine, Coach Brown will have me on the sidelines in no time." Well, we know the ending of that story.... loss 39-33 with that now famous Crabtree last minute catch. Lubbock was lit that night!

Favorite hidden gem in Lubbock?

If you know me, I'm full of random facts that just come into my brain as I'm speaking to you - so there are a lot of hidden gems that I might could tell you at any one moment.

However, I think my best one is that there is a piece of the Blarney Stone in the courtyard of the Electrical Engineering Building.
