Texas Tech University

New Faculty Resources

 Library BackSide

Welcome to Texas Tech University on behalf of the Teaching, Learning, and Professional Development Center. We are confident that you will find warm West Texas hospitality, engaging colleagues, a stimulating research environment, and an enthusiastic student body.

To help in your transition both to our institution and our community, we have provided resources to help you get started. Through this page, we are very happy to offer resources where you can find information regarding teaching and research, resources for your students, Texas Tech traditions and culture as well as some information about the Lubbock community, including school districts, family friendly activities, local businesses, outdoor pursuits, and events.

Information about Texas Tech and New Faculty Orientation (NFO) will come to you in multiple formats: email, online resources and modules, the mandatory, traditional ½ day NFO session, and through a fall workshop series designed just for new faculty. We know this may feel overwhelming at first, but we will be here to assist you through this transitional time.

Please keep in mind that if you have questions, we invite you to call us any time at 806.742.0133, drop either of us an email at nfo@ttu.edu or stop by the TLPDC in the North Wing of the University Library. Our doors are open and we welcome the opportunity to help you.

Congratulations on becoming a part of the Red Raider family. We look forward to working with you.

Sincerely,

Mitzi Ziegner & Kerri Pike
