John Walker, a senior agricultural economics major from Stamford, will be recognized this summer at the annual meeting of the Western Agricultural and Resource Economics Association. Walker was also recognized this past weekend at the Agricultural Economics Association's Annual Steak-Fry Appreciation Banquet in Texas Tech's Student Union Building.
"This award recognizes outstanding seniors who've achieved excellence in their academic achievements," said Eduardo Segarra, professor and department chairman. "The WAEA believes excellent undergraduates like John have a great deal to offer in terms of future contributions to agricultural, resource and environmental economics in the western states."
Association officials noted that the purpose of the award is to recognize outstanding undergraduate seniors who've achieved excellence in their academic achievements. Much is expected of these students in terms of their future contributions to agricultural, resource, and environmental economics in Western states.
