More than 700 students, friends, faculty and staff of Texas Tech's College of Agricultural
Sciences and Natural Resources were on hand last night (Nov. 10) for the 88th annual Pig Roast at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center Exhibit Hall.
The Pig Roast celebrated scholarship donors, recipients and intercollegiate judging
teams. In addition, the program honored three Texas residents with Gerald W. Thomas
Outstanding Agriculturalist Awards. This year's recipients were Frank Price for agricultural production; Les Eubank for agribusiness; and Tom Sell for public service. Among the university leaders on hand for the event were Lawrence Schovanec, Texas Tech Provost and Senior Vice President; Michael Galyean, dean of Texas Tech's College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources; and
Jane Piercy, CASNR's Director of Development and External Relations.
