Master teacher awards presented to 12 CASNR faculty
A dozen outstanding teaching leaders in Texas Tech University's College of Agricultural
Sciences and Natural Resources have been honored with Apple Master Teacher Awards
from the college.
"By publicly recognizing excellence in the classroom, we underscore just how important our faculty and students are to the college," said John Burns, the dean of the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. "The college remains as committed to teaching excellence as it is to the truly remarkable research we conduct each and every day."

Over the past month Burns has gone to each of the honoree's classes and presented Apple Master Teacher Awards to them in front of their students. Acting upon the CASNR Administrative Council's recommendation, the one-time awards program is part of an effort to publicly recognize the superlative teaching efforts of many of the college's faculty.
Nominations were provided by each of the college's departmental chairpersons.
