Davis College Events

A Davis College tradition since 1961! The annual Homecoming Breakfast brings alumni and friends from all of our six departments and all graduating classes together with current students, faculty and staff. Inviting everyone back to campus the morning of the Homecoming football game, the breakfast promises food and fun with an opportunity to renew old friendships, make new ones, and celebrate the accomplishments of the college.

One of the largest and oldest traditions on campus, the annual Pig Roast is a celebration honoring teams and individuals who have distinguished themselves and the University during the past year. Scholarship donors and recipients, as well as outstanding leaders in the fields of agriculture and natural resources are recognized. The event provides an opportunity to say “Thank You!” to individuals and companies who have assisted in the activities of the College.

A growing tradition, the 50th+ Class Reunion brings together alumni from the graduating classes of 50 years or more. Alumni and their families enjoy lunch and storytelling, followed by a campus bus tour.

Davis College invites alumni to join us for various alumni receptions throughout the state. These receptions are held in conjunction with professional development organizations’ annual conferences and conventions, including: Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association, American Society of Landscape Architects – Texas Chapter, and Vocation Agricultural Teachers Association of Texas. You do not have to be a participant in, or registered for, the associated event in order to attend the alumni reception.
