It is limited to 40 participants who will take six courses over a two-year period
as part of a cohort. Enrollment in individual courses is not available.
Curriculum includes courses on:"Grapevine biology "Site assessment and vineyard development
"Vine nutrition and water management "Canopy and crop load management "Disease, insect
and weed management "Vineyard practices
When successfully completed, these courses lead to a Certificate in Viticulture and
students will receive 17 continuing education units. The program is the product of
collaboration between the Department of Plant & Soil Sciences and College of Outreach
& Distance Education at Texas Tech University and the Texas AgriLife Extension Service.
