All The Best; Annual achievements highlight Honors Banquet
Dozens of outstanding students, staff and faculty from across Texas Tech's College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources were honored Friday (Apr. 30) at its annual Honors Banquet at the United Spirit Arena. Sponsored by the Ag Council, the event featured a variety of honors, including highest academic achievement.
Recipients of the outstanding student awards were:

Separately, new Ag Council leaders for the 2008-2009 were recognized. They were Riley Branch, president; Trevor White, vice president; Loni Woolley, secretary; Dean Black, treasurer; and Kaitlyn True, scribe. Student government senators Dean Black, Eric Odom and Richard Kinsey were also recognized.
Meanwhile, outstanding professor awards went to Mark Miller for Fall 2009 and Ryan Rathmann for Spring 2010. Outstanding staff members were Lonnie Hughes for Fall 2009 and Kay Arellano for Spring 2010.
Ag Council members include the Ag Communicators of Tomorrow; Agronomy Club; Alpha Gamma Rho; American Society of Landscape Architecture; Beef Cattle Show Team; Block and Bridle; Collegiate FFA; Collegiate 4-H; and Collegiate Horseman Association.
Other members are the Entomology Club; Equestrian Team; Farm House Fraternity; Food Technology; Freshman Ag Council; Horticulture Society; Meat Sciences Association; Pre-Vet Society; Range, Wildlife and Fisheries Club; Rodeo Association; and the Sigma Alpha Sorority.
