The American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) is offering a summer internship at their Arlington, Va. office. Qualifications: Applicants will ideally have a strong interest in animal agriculture and are currently pursuing an agricultural or animal science related degree. The successful applicant will assist staff with current industry related projects, research projects and data compilation, participate in regulatory agency meetings and assist with the Association's social media efforts and the Congressional Education project.
Compensation: The Intern will receive salary compensation and either public transportation assistance or parking subsidy. An AFIA Internship is typically a 10-week position, beginning the second week of May but start dates may be flexible dependent on individual circumstances. Note: AFIA does not provide housing nor cover housing costs for its internship program. The Association is able to offer assistance with locating housing possibilities in the D.C. metro area and contact information.
