Tech regents announce promotions for almost a dozen CASNR faculty members
The Texas Tech University System Board of Regents approved the academic advancement of eleven leading College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources faculty members during their latest meeting (Feb. 28) in Lubbock.
Those receiving tenure and promotion are:- Aaron Benson assistant professor to associate professor, Agricultural and Applied Economics
- Robert Cox assistant professor to associate professor, Natural Resources Management
- Kerry Griffis-Kyle assistant professor to associate professor, Natural Resources Management
- Courtney Meyers assistant professor to associate professor, Agricultural Education and Communications
- Jennifer Moore-Kucera assistant professor to associate professor, Plant and Soil Science
- Olga Murova assistant professor to associate professor, Agricultural and Applied Economics
- Jon Ulmer assistant professor to associate professor, Agricultural Education and Communications
- Brad Dabbert associate professor to professor, Natural Resources Management
- Conrad Lyford associate professor to professor, Agricultural and Applied Economics
- Jaime Malaga associate professor to professor, Agricultural and Applied Economics
- Gad Perry associate professor to professor, Natural Resources Management
Separately, university officials noted that the board's action brings to 797 the number of full-time tenured faculty at Texas Tech. There are a total of 1,075 full-time faculty, either tenured or tenure track. Another 280 faculty members are full-time non-tenure or non-tenure track.
