Face-to-Face; SUB Ballroom home for Oct. 19 Davis College Career Fair

Texas Tech's Davis College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources is gearing up to host its annual Career Fair from noon to 4 p.m. on Wednesday (Oct. 19) in the ballroom of the university's Student Union Ballroom.
The event is a win-win for both students and employers, said Sandra Addo, Davis Colleges Program Manager for Diversity & Graduate Student Recruitment. It gives students from a variety of majors the opportunity to explore career opportunities, meet prospective employers and practice professional behavior.
Addo stressed it's important for Davis College students to make a professional first impression on prospective employers, and encouraged students seeking jobs to bring updated resumes and dress professionally.
Program leaders expect more than 40 company representatives from businesses eager to meet and schedule Davis College students for potential interviews. The event is hosted by Davis College and Texas Tech's University Career Center.

In addition, she said the University Career Center provides services to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as alumni from Texas Tech. Students and alumni can schedule face-to-face, phone or video appointments. The office is located in the Wiggins Complex. The staff has researched, collected and developed resources to support students as they navigate the job search process and graduate school application process. This includes professional document writing, interviewing/salary negotiation; professional dress/etiquette, and the internship search process.
