Research Spotlight: Dept. of Ag Education & Communications’ Meyers

Courney Meyers, a professor and graduate studies coordinator within the Department of Agricultural Education & Communications, joined the Texas Tech faculty in 2008. The Kanssas native has co-authored award-winning research articles and conference papers, including outstanding research article in the Journal of Applied Communications, Association for Communication Excellence outstanding paper, SAAS Agricultural Communications outstanding paper, and the AAAE distinguished manuscript.
Recent honors include a Fulbright Scholar Award; regional USDA Excellence in College & University Teaching in Food & Agricultural Sciences Award (2022); President's Academic Achievement Award and being named a Texas Tech Integrated Scholar. Meyers is a member of Tech's Teaching Academy, and has received a Chancellor's Council Distinguished Teaching Award (2018); USDA New Teacher Award (2015); and a President's Excellence in Teaching Award (2014). Her doctorate in agricultural education and communication is from the University of Florida.
