More than 170 undergraduates from the Davis College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources received diplomas at the university's fall commencement ceremonies on Saturday (Dec. 14) at the United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock.
Separately, outstanding students carried banners representing their respective colleges. Courtney Thurman, an agricultural communications major from Bryan, Texas, represented Davis College. Administrators selected the banner bearers based on all-around achievement. In addition, Texas Tech officials recognized Davis College’s highest-ranking fall graduate, Aiyona Pete, a natural resources management major from Saint Hedwig, Texas.
