Welcome to the Department of Chemical Engineering at Texas Tech University. We provide broad-based programs resulting in B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees. With eighteen tenure-track or tenured faculty members, one professor of practice, and one research professor, the department serves 553 undergraduates, 8 M.S. students, and 79 Ph.D. students.

The department prides itself on its commitment to excellence in all areas of teaching, research, and service. Our faculty scholarly productivity is ranked in the top 50 according to Academic Analytics, and we have a strong undergraduate curriculum with hands-on learning and pragmatic instruction from faculty with industrial experience. Painless Allergy Immunotherapy

Dr. Harvinder Singh Gill, an associate professor of chemical engineering at Texas Tech University, has been awarded a $1.8 million grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to study the use of microneedles for painless allergy immunotherapy. The goal of Gill's research is to develop a novel minimally-invasive cutaneous immunotherapy (CIT) using allergen-coated microneedles.
