Gentry Lynn Award

The Gentry Lynn Award was created in honor and memory of science teacher Gentry Lynn, who taught science at Idalou High School until his death in May of 2000. Gentry showed unparalleled dedication to the Traveling Lab Program by using all the labs to their highest potential, having all equipment and paperwork ready to go and in stellar condition, and helping in further developments of the traveling labs. He had the respect and admiration from his community, peers and students for his willingness to go above and beyond what is expected, having the initiative and drive to help further his own knowledge and that of his students, maintaining a strong dedication to the teaching profession and being committed to his students.
