What is Environmental Engineering?

Environmental engineers develop solutions to problems of planetary health. Their work includes water treatment, wastewater treatment and reuse, hazardous waste treatment, air pollution modeling and prevention, and solid waste disposal.

The accellerated environmental engineering program at the Edward E. Whitacre Jr. College of Engineering at Texas Tech University has three degree programs that can be completed in as little as 5 years (or 154 hours).*

*Additional credit hours required for master's and doctoral degrees compared to bachelor's degrees.
