Jeff Williams was elected Mayor of the City of Arlington in May 2015. A graduate of Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering and a registered professional engineer, Williams was inducted into the University's Civil Engineering Academy for Engineering Excellence.  He is also a member of Texas Tech's Civil Engineering Honor Fraternity, Chi Epsilon and is an honorary member of the University of Texas Chi Epsilon Chapter.

Mayor Williams is president of Arlington based Graham Associates, Inc., He has worked on a host of high profile projects, including: the Dallas Cowboys AT&T Stadium, the I.H. 30 Three Bridges Project, Texas Rangers Globe Life Park, River Legacy Living Science Center, Southlake Town Square, Warren Buffett's Nebraska Furniture Mart, Prestonwood Baptist Church, General Motors Assembly Plant in Arlington, the Parks Mall and the award winning, master planned community, Viridian.  In 2009, Williams was presented with the State of Texas Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement Award by the American Society of Civil Engineers.  He has also won the Outstanding Transportation Project for the State of Texas in 2011 from the Public Works Association for the I.H. 30 Three Bridges Project.

Mayor Williams' projects include the 2008 Arlington City Bond Election Committee and the 2014 AISD School Bond Election Committee. He is also Past Chairman of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce and the Past Vice Chairman of the Cotton Bowl Association. He has held leadership and volunteer roles in a variety of other Arlington organizations including the YMCA, PTA, Salvation Army, Mission Arlington and River Legacy Foundation. He has been recognized with the Vandergriff Community Leadership Award and PTA Lifetime Achievement Award.

Under the leadership of Mayor Williams, the City of Arlington has created a record setting 6,000 new jobs in the last 18 months, tourism has grown by 40 percent and more streets are being reconstructed than ever in the history of the Community.  Arlington has also been designated as only one of 10 cities in America to be a test site for autonomous vehicles.  Mayor Williams also led the successful campaign to keep the Texas Rangers and build a new retractable roof Ballpark/Special Events Center along with a world class entertainment complex and hotel called Texas Live.  Arlington was selected in 2016 by Money Magazine as one of the six “best big cities in America.”

Mayor Williams met his wife, Karen at Texas Tech and they have been married for 37 years.  Their three children are all graduates of Texas Tech.  They also have twin grandsons and a granddaughter that are future Red Raiders!
