Greg Sargent is the founder and CEO of Pinnacle Midstream II.  Founded in 2019, Pinnacle is a Private Equity Backed Midstream company operating a natural gas gathering system with low and high pressure pipelines, gas processing and liquid handling facilities.  Prior to Pinnacle II, Greg was the founder and CEO of Pinnacle Midstream I which was formed in 2014 and sold in 2018.  Greg's entrepreneurial endeavors began in 2006 when he founded and was CEO of TransTex Gas Services which leased, installed and operated gas treating equipment throughout the United States.  Ultimately, Greg sold TransTex in 2011.

In the years prior to TransTex, Greg worked as an Engineer, Business Developer and Manager of several different divisions.  Most notably, Greg was Vice President of Hanover Compression's Treating and Turnkey Division which was responsible for the turnkey installation of Natural Gas compressors, plants and power generator sets throughout the world including Mexico, Venezuela, Argentina, Bolivia, Nigeria, Egypt and elsewhere.  Prior to creating TransTex, Greg was Vice President of Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management overseeing the manufacturing facilities at 7 locations in 3 different countries.

Greg Sargent was born and raised in Borger Texas in the shadows of the Phillips Petroleum Refinery so when he felt he was old enough, he started working as a roustabout in the Oil Fields at age 14.  Needless to say, this stuck with him since he's still working in the Oil Fields today.  Greg was active in school and participated in a variety of sports.  Fortunately for him, his math teacher, Mrs. Cole, recognized his potential and nominated him for the Texas Tech Anonymous Donor Scholarship that he ultimately was awarded.  This enabled Greg to immediately start school at Tech as a Freshman and helped him to concentrate on studies rather than working during the school year.  The Anonymous Donor Scholarship was one of the reasons for Greg and Deena to create the J Greg and Deena Sargent Endowment in Honor of JC Sargent and Donald West.  This endowment was created for Engineering Students growing up in small towns throughout the Texas Panhandle, West and South Texas. While at Tech, Greg was a member of Pi Tau Sigma, the International Honor Society for Mechanical Engineers, and Tau Beta Pi, the Engineering Honor Society.  In 1982, Greg graduated from Texas Tech with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.

Greg and his wife, Deena, have been married for 32 years and have three wonderful children.  Jennie graduated from Tech with a Bachelor of Nursing and is now a Nurse Practitioner in Plano, TX.  Casee attended Tech and earned a degree in General Business and is currently a Analyst living in Missouri City, TX.  Cole attended Tech and resides in Georgetown, TX working in Quality Control of 3D printed houses.  Greg and Deena have 5 grandchildren.  In addition, Greg has many other relatives that graduated from Tech including his brother who graduated from Texas Tech School of Law.
