Aaron Carman was awarded the NXP Foundation Graduate Fellowship and the Society of Automotive Engineers Doctoral Engineering Scholarship.

Aaron Carman was granted the NXP Foundation Graduate Fellowship, which is designed to support Ph.D. students in their third or fourth year of study. The fellowship specifically aids those engaged in research related to machine learning, AI, millimeter wave radar (which is Aaron's area of research), and advanced microprocessing technologies. Exceptional academic achievements within these domains are prioritized, with the aim of encouraging the practical application of research and development efforts. Annually, two individuals are selected as recipients of this fellowship, and they are expected to submit progress reports to NXP at the conclusion of each extended semester. This fellowship commenced in the current semester and will conclude in the spring of 2024.

Additionally, Aaron Carman achieved the Society of Automotive Engineers Doctoral Engineering Scholarship. Valued at $15,000, this scholarship is a one-time award tailored for master's and doctoral candidates pursuing engineering degrees with aspirations of a future career in academia. Preference is granted to candidates who exhibit strong academic competitiveness and demonstrate leadership aptitude in both community and extracurricular involvements.
