An Industrial, Manufacturing, and Systems Engineering student has won the Undergraduate Operations Research Redistricting Prize
One of our talented Texas Tech University students of the Industrial, Manufacturing, and Systems Engineering Department has won the Undergrad Operations Research Redistricting Prize. This competition was open to undergraduate students at U.S. universities who are taking courses in Operations Research.
One motivation for this competition was to excite students about the field of OR, and to encourage participation, the member of the top-performing team would receive $1,000 in travel support to attend the 2024 Informs Annual Meeting in Seattle, WA, and compete for the INFORMS Undergraduate OR Prize.
The 2024 INFORMS Annual Meeting will showcase cutting-edge research and applications in operations research (O.R.) and analytics. Attendees will delve into the intricacies of decision-making, leveraging the latest in technology, data analytics, and optimization.
Mason is senior in the Industrial Engineering program and is expected to graduate in December 2024. Congratulations to Mason Reyna on this accomplishment!
