The Texas 9-1-1 Alliance, an interlocal cooperative of 27 emergency communication districts, provides 9-1-1 services and public safety support for over 76% of Texas' population. These districts operate under Texas Health and Safety Code Chapter 772, ensuring crucial emergency services for millions.

The team’s project aimed to analyze past and projected funding for Texas 9-1-1 services and assess the potential impact of increasing the state’s 9-1-1 wireless service fee. Their research will project funding needs for the next 25 years and gauge public opinion on fee increases to sustain and expand Next-Generation 9-1-1 (NG911) services across Texas.

Congratulations to this exceptional team for their hard work and this well-deserved recognition!
