Dr. Danny Reible named TTU Big 12 Faculty Member

Dr. Danny Reible has been named the TTU Big 12 faculty member of the year. This award recognizes the excellent work of one faculty member from each Big 12 Institution.

Dr. Danny D. Reible is the Donovan Maddox Distinguished Engineering Chair and Horn Distinguished Professor at Texas Tech University. Dr. Reible holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology, and is a Board Certified Environmental Engineer, a Professional Engineer (Louisiana), a Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors and in 2005 was elected to the National Academy of Engineering. He currently leads activities in passive sampling for assessment of mobility and availability of legacy and emerging contaminants, in-situ management of these contaminants, the stimulation of geologic hydrogen as an energy source, and beneficial uses of produced and saline waters. He also leads the CURES (Coupled Urban-Rural Environmental Sustainability) initiative at Texas Tech which is designed to address the unique challenges of small urban and surrounding interdependent rural areas.
