TTU & Engineering Opportunities Center (EOC) Resources
Texas Tech University and the Whitacre College of Engineering are dedicated to making sure that you have the necessary skills to start a successful career. As you may know, job hunting requires soft skills in addition to technical skills you will learn in class. - WCOE Job Fair
- Career Resources - provides resources for resumes, cover letters, interviewing, job searching, workshops/trainings, as well as a list of career websites for engineers.
The University Career Center (UCC) provides services/programs to undergraduate and graduate students as well as alumni from Texas Tech University. Some services/programs they provide include professional document critiques (resumes, CVs, cover letters, personal statements, etc.), mock interviews, career assessments/exploration, job searching, and much more!
The UCC provides the College to Career Program, which is an internship initiative designed to provide undergraduate students with paid internship opportunities related to their desired industry.
- Through this program, students are matched with on-campus and Lubbock community internship positions that are submitted by supervisors and faculty members. These internship positions are vetted and approved by program staff within the University Career Center. Lubbock community employers and faculty will serve in the role of internship supervisor /mentor for their students.
The UCC also provides Red Raider Grad Stats, which can be used for research, exploring different majors, salary negotiation, and mapping a career path, empowering you to make informed decisions about your future.
Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Resources
As the worlds largest computing society, ACM strengthens the profession's collective voice through strong leadership, promotion of the highest standards, and recognition of technical excellence. ACM supports the professional growth of its members by providing opportunities for life‐long learning, career development, and professional networking.

Computing Research Association (CRA) Resources
CRA counts among its members more than 250 North American organizations active in computing research: academic departments of computing; laboratories and centers in industry, government, and academia; and affiliated professional societies (AAAI, ACM, CS-CAN, IEEE Computer Society, SIAM, and USENIX). CRA works with these organizations to represent the computing research community and to effect change that benefits both computing research and society at large.

IEEE Computer Society Resources
Engaging computer engineers, scientists, academia, and industry professionals from all areas of computing, the IEEE Computer Society (CS) sets the standard for the education and engagement that fuels continued global technological advancement. Other Resources
1) Many organizations/companies, including giants like GitHub, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and Meta, have dedicated careers pages on their websites. These pages often list internships, entry-level positions, and programs specifically designed for recent graduates.
2) As the official job site for the U.S. federal government, USAJOBS is the go-to platform for anyone looking to work in public service. It offers a wide range of positions, from entry-level roles to advanced positions in various federal agencies.

Have a CS Related Internship for an upcoming semester?
The CS 4000 Internship/Co-Op option is a good way to earn CS elective credit. Please note that CS 4000 needs to be taken at the same time as your internship or co-op. To be approved for CS 4000 Internship/Co-Op credit, your internship or co-op needs to be CS related, and it needs to be approved by your CS advisor and the CS Undergraduate Coordinator.
