Curriculum
General Requirements
The Master of Science in Electrical Engineering program has both thesis and non−thesis plans.
Thesis Plan
In the thesis option, students are required to:
- Complete 30 credit hours total.
- 24 hours of this must be coursework.
- At most, 6 hours may be non−ECE courses.
- At most, 3 hours may be EE Individual−Study courses.
- 6 hours must be ECE 6000, Master's Thesis.
- 24 hours of this must be coursework.
- Complete a thesis and deliver an oral presentation of the results.
- Enroll in ECE 5120, Graduate Seminar every semester.
- ECE 5371 Engineering Analysis is required to be taken by all graduate students
- Pass the Fundamentals of Engineering Examination (FE) or comprehensive oral examination.
Non−Thesis Plan
- Complete 36 hours of coursework.
- At most, 9 hours may be non−ECE courses.
- At most, 6 hours may be ECE Individual−Study courses.
- Enroll in ECE 5120, Graduate Seminar every semester
- ECE 5371 Engineering Analysis is required to be taken by all graduate students.
- Pass the Fundamentals of Engineering Examination (FE) or comprehensive oral examination.
