Kiara is currently a junior pursuing a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in Forensic Science. She plans on attending graduate school to earn a PhD in Clinical Psychology. Her research interests include societal treatment for mental disorders and the incarcerated, as well as self-stigma on mental illness. Coming from a culture that places a stigma around mental health, she hopes to help lessen this issue. She joins the PARA Lab to examine the psychological effects of life stressors throughout adulthood. She looks forward to learning the psychosocial effects the COVID-19 pandemic had on various cultures. In her free time, she likes to wind down listening to music and spending time with her family.
