Toree is a first-generation college student in the TrUE Scholars cohort. She is currently a senior majoring in Psychology and double minoring in Cognitive Science and English. She plans to pursue an M.A. and a PhD in Clinical Counseling. She aspires to open her own trauma informed practice after graduation. Her research interests include somatic therapies, neuroplasticity in Traumatic Brain Injury, and cognition, targeting both adolescents and adults. Toree is excited to participate in PARA Lab research and learn more about resilience in the face of adverse childhood experiences and other stressors. Toree hopes to contribute to PARA Lab by coauthoring and presenting research findings at the conference in the Spring while furthering her professional experiences in psychological research. Outside of university, Toree enjoys playing the piano, guitar, and ukulele, volunteering at the Lubbock animal shelter, and spending time with her two cats, Alice and Charlie.
