Shuwen is currently a second-year graduate student in Human Development and Family Sciences at Texas Tech University. He received his B.S. in Psychology from Tarleton State University in 2020. As a non-traditional first-generation scholar, he is interested in investigating factors that promote and/or hinder the developmental trajectories of young adults. During his undergraduate degree, he worked in a VA research center and engaged in community-based research. In the PARA Lab, Shuwen is excited to use different research methods to explore promotive and risk factors of resilience in the face of stress throughout adulthood. In his free time, he enjoys working out and eating food.
