At the 76th National Council on Family Relations Annual Conference, Dr. Niehuis presented a lightening paper about how married partners' shared language reflects their marital quality and conflict in the first six months (Phase 1) and first couple years (Phase 2) of their marriage. Dr. Niehuis, Rebecca, Wendy (an undergraduate researcher), and Ivette (a graduate student collaborator) also presented a roundtable about mentoring undergraduate research in the social sciences. We spent our free time at the seeing Baltimore aquarium and boardwalk, eating seafood at a local restaurant, and touring Washington, D.C.
