Dr. Adams has over 30 years of teaching, research, and consulting experience in the food service and lodging Industry. His research Interests and publications cover the areas of consumer behavior, product Innovation, human resources, rural tourism, and alcoholic beverage issues. His consulting work consists of restaurant concept development, country club management, and lodging redevelopment. 

Dr. Adams serves as the Restaurant, Hotel and Institutional Management (RHIM) program's Recruitment Coordinator and is responsible for placing graduating seniors, attracting hospitality companies, and educating prospective students about the RHIM program.  He travels extensively maintaining relationships with over 50 companies and industry recruiters.

He is an Associate Professor in the Restaurant, Hotel, and Institutional Management program at Texas Tech University. He received a Doctorate of Philosophy in Consumer Economics and Environmental Design, a Masters of Science and Bachelor of Science in Restaurant, Hotel, and Institutional Management from Texas Tech University, and Associate Degrees in Accounting and Real Estate Management from South Plains College.
