As one of the four original colleges at Texas Tech University at its founding, the
College of Human Sciences has a rich history investing in students, preparing them
to make an impact on the world around them. The College of Human Sciences provides
multidisciplinary education, research, and service focused on individuals, families,
and their environments to improve and enhance the human condition. When they graduate,
our students are making an impact as educators, health care professionals, financial

Hospitality and Retail Management
The Department of Hospitality and Retail Management (HRM) provides quality education,
research, and service focused on the knowledge and skills intrinsic in the disciplines
of hospitality management and retail management. The department is known for providing
hands-on training in areas of hospitality, retailing, fashion merchandising, marketing,
and more. Students can gain experience in the creative and commercial aspects of fashion
merchandising or dive into the business and managerial aspects of hospitality by participating
in the management of the student-run Skyviews Restaurant. Learn more about the degree
