Texas Tech’s School of Financial Planning opens clinic to share financial services and resources for students and individuals
The Texas Tech School of Financial Planning is hosting a ribbon cutting event to celebrate the opening of the Charles Schwab Foundation Personal Financial Planning Clinic. This event will be at 3:00 p.m. on Oct. 21 in the Texas Tech Plaza, Suite 305.
Community members are invited to come celebrate the opening of the clinic and hear what services will be offered. This expansion will provide state-of-the-art resources to train students, individual space for financial coaching and recording capability for research and customer service training. The clinic will give Lubbock community members the opportunity to meet with personal financial planning students for one-on-one financial coaching sessions. Specifically, students will have the opportunity to help clients with financial goal setting, budgeting and improving credit.
The School of Financial Planning is excited to offer these services to students and individuals in the community. The Personal Financial Planning program aim to educate students on a broad selection of personal financial planning courses, examining the economic, financial, and social factors that affect financial management. This allows students to go into a variety of financial service careers to help impact the lives in their communities.
