Jenna Seale was recognized for her efficiency and willingness to go above and beyond for the department

Jenna Seale recently received the Texas Tech University Masked Rider Award. Seale is the business manager in the College of Human Sciences Department of Nutritional Sciences. She has been with the department since August 2014.

The Masked Rider Award recognizes an individual with four or more years of service with Texas Tech and at least one year in a supervisory position. The award also highlights someone who has contributed to the success of Texas Tech, including their vision of the big picture, flexibility, motivation, and ability to accept responsibility. Nikhil Dhurandhar, Ph.D., chairperson of Nutritional Sciences, shares how Seale has impacted the department.

“As department chair, I have come to rely heavily on Jenna for her support in day-to-day affairs of the department,” Dhurandhar said. “More importantly, her efficiency, ability to predict the help needed, ‘can do' attitude, problem solving approach, and willingness to go above and beyond has allowed NS to effectively interact with departments within COHS and with other TTU entities and in effect helped reach its present visibility in the field. I would unequivocally state that Jenna is a credit to Texas Tech University and highly deserving of this award.”

Seale said she was honored to receive this award, and the recognition from faculty and staff means so much to her. She shares how grateful she is to have been a part of the Department of Nutritional Sciences and looks forward to continued growth.

“I enjoy working with the truly amazing administration that we have in our department,” Seale said. “Together, we have grown Nutritional Sciences to an overwhelming new level in the areas of teaching, research and service. It is a great feeling to look back on all of our success and everything we have accomplished in the last nine years.”

The College of Human Sciences faculty and staff aim to exemplify the mission of Texas Tech University and strive to create an environment for students to succeed. As a recipient of the Masked Rider Award, Seale is an example of an individual leading the way to excellence. Congratulations Jenna!
