Taylor is a senior undergraduate student from Dallas, Texas, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition at Texas Tech. She is a recipient of the College of Human Sciences Undergraduate Research Experience program (URE). As a child, she always enjoyed helping someone physically or emotionally in a time of need or comfort. She is currently working as a Research Assistant in the Freshman and Sophomore Health (FASH) Study with the CNHI Lab. She hopes to go to Medical school after her Bachelor's program. Taylor's desire to study nutrition before medical school is based on nutritional deficiencies and an increase in the prevalence of nutrition-related diseases in her community. A motivating factor for Taylor is that there are not a lot of African American doctors in her community.
