Cari Moye

Principal

Cari Moye is the principal of Texas Tech K-12. A graduate of both Texas Tech University and Wayland Baptist University, she began her career teaching kindergarten, second grade and fourth grade with Lubbock ISD before becoming a school counselor with Frenship ISD. After earning her licensed professional counselor credential, she worked with the Children's Advocacy Center of the South Plains, providing therapy to abuse victims ages 2 to 17. She remains active as a member of the Lubbock Police Department’s Crisis Team.

Moye brought her passion for working with children and students to Texas Tech K-12 in 2012. She is proud to be part of an organization that creates educational opportunities for students who may not have had them otherwise. While serving as principal, she earned her Doctor of Education in educational leadership from Texas Tech. Her love for Texas Tech, education and students fuels her commitment to helping families and supporting students in their educational journey.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. Together, they like visiting parks, reading books, planting flowers, golfing and traveling to explore new experiences as a family.
