Hello, my name is Des Matlock. I hold a bachelor's degree from West Texas A&M University with degree emphases on English, communications, and sports and exercise science. I also worked with WTAMU on my post-bac secondary education certification. I have been teaching since 2010 and have been with Texas Tech since 2017. I currently teach English, PE, and health as well as serve as the electives department head. I love the unique and supportive environment provided at Texas Tech K-12 and truly believe this is the best place to work as well as an incredible place to learn and grow. In my free time, I love spending time with my family, reading, working out and drinking coffee.
