Hello, my name is Shelley Montgomery. I am a retired teacher with 31 years of teaching experience in Lamesa and Lubbock Independent School Districts. Starting as a teaching assistant, I was encouraged by my mentors to get my degree. I succeeded, graduating from Texas Tech after commuting and studying while raising teenagers. I am so thankful they affirmed my passion for teaching, and I can continue to build relationships and mentor these students and parents. I have taught 2nd through 8th grade English Language Arts and Reading and joined TTU K-12 in October 2020. I enjoy spending time with my children and grandchildren, playing golf, traveling with my husband, and spoiling our Morkie, "Butter.” It is my pleasure to serve as your academic advisor.
