Travis Jaquess
My name is Dr. Travis Jaquess and I hold degrees in History and Education from Texas Tech University and the University of Mississippi. I wrote my dissertation over fatherhood in the eighteenth-century and argued that the events of the American Revolution radically changed the relational expectations of fathers and sons. I have taught history for over fifteen years and have loved every minute of it! My favorite part of teaching is helping students uncover information about their past. My teaching mentor used to say that history is at the core of what makes us human. Exploring our past helps us explore human nature and understanding more of ourselves and our world.
