High School Diploma Program
The Texas Tech K-12 high school diploma program offers a flexible, state-approved path for students to earn their diplomas through distance education. This program supports traditional students and adults alike, helping meet Texas graduation requirements with options for personalized learning and support.
Graduation Plans
Texas Tech K-12 provides the Foundation Graduation Plan with various endorsement options, allowing students to customize their education based on career interests. The Foundation Plan with Endorsement path offers a well-rounded education, enabling students to graduate with the Distinguished Level of Achievement, which can qualify them for automatic admissions to Texas public universities. Endorsements include:
- Arts & Humanities
- Business & Industry
- Multidisciplinary Studies
- STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)
Each endorsement requires specific advanced coursework in addition to the Foundation Plan core courses, offering students targeted electives and opportunities to develop specialized skills.

Preparing for Graduation
Texas Tech K-12 provides resources to support students as they approach graduation, including college and career readiness services for navigating state and national assessments, financial aid resources and career planning. Students are also invited to an annual graduation ceremony to celebrate their achievements in person.
Course Credit Requirements
All students following the Foundation Graduation Plan with Endorsement complete a total of 26 credits, encompassing core subjects and electives. Credit requirements include:
- English: 4 credits
- Math: 4 credits
- Science: 4 credits
- Social Studies: 3 credits
- Foreign Language: 2 credits
- Fine Arts: 1 credit
- Physical Education: 1 credit
- Electives: 7 credits
Direct Admissions to Texas Tech University
Graduating with the Distinguished Level of Achievement from Texas Tech K-12 can qualify students for automatic admission to Texas Tech University, offering a seamless transition from high school to higher education.
Middle School
The Texas Tech K-12 middle school program provides a comprehensive curriculum to prepare students for high school. Full-time students complete core courses, plus a year of Fine Arts and Career Exploration. Academically advanced students may accelerate their learning through credit by exams and high school course options.
Elementary School
Texas Tech K-12s elementary curriculum fosters discovery and development across four disciplines:
- Science
- Language Arts/Reading
- Social Studies
- Math
Each course includes two semesters, offering structured yet flexible learning to meet the needs of young learners. Students may enroll in full grade-level courses or multi-level combinations.
