TTU K-12 Welcomes New "H-M" Advisor

Annette Coon comes to TTU K-12 with a diverse background of higher education and public school teaching. After leaving the U.S. Navy she started college while being a mom and wife to her U.S. Navy husband. They moved back to her home state of Indiana where she continued her education and began working for Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis. Annette continued working in higher education at DePauw University where her love for students grew, and she continued to witness the benefits of education for young people.

In 2007, Annette's husband was transferred to Plainview, Texas, and they have since fallen in love with West Texas. She completed her bachelor's in business management, master's in counseling, and education certification at Wayland Baptist University. Annette taught briefly in public school, and as a result found a passion for alternative education. Helping students complete their high school diploma, no matter the situation, is important to her.

Annette has one son and an awesome daughter-in-love. She enjoys spending time with her three furry, four-legged kids, knitting and volunteering for various community programs.
