TTU K-12 is proud to announce a new instructor in Texas Tech University Middle School, Connor Bryant.

Bryant was an educator for five years, teaching middle school math.

After working with TTU K-12 as an instructional designer for the past couple years, he was motivated to become an instructor for the program, since he was familiar with its mission.

“I wanted to continue to work with the amazing people there, even when I went back to teaching full-time in-person,” Bryant said.

He believes the most rewarding part about being an educator is the relationship one gets to build with their students.

“I was afraid at first that the relationship aspect of working with students would not be present in an online environment, but with the way that TTU K-12 builds their courses, I truly get to know and interact with each student personally through feedback, personalized messages, and small group tutoring via Blackboard Collaborate.”

Bryant believes that all students have the ability to succeed and flourish in all subjects, but sometimes it just takes the right teacher and the right environment.

“If you don’t know something, ask! It’s absolutely ok to not understand something the first time you do something, but it’s not ok to stay that way,” he said. “My advice is to reach out to the teacher if something is confusing or difficult.”
