TTU K-12 Taking Applications for National Honor Society

The Raiderland Chapter of NHS is accepting applications from interested students who seek an opportunity to work with other Texas Tech High School students.

TTU K-12 registered its Raiderland Chapter of NHS in the fall of 2018.

The first cohort of 13 students was inducted in January the following year. Some attended in person, and others virtually.

Hayley Haggard and Cailey Lawrence are co-advisors for the student organization.

“NHS gives students the opportunity to connect with fellow classmates and to truly make a difference in each of their communities,” Haggard said. “The online nature of the program allows us to have members participating throughout the world, giving our chapter the unique ability to have positive influences on a global scale.”

There are currently seven students in the Raiderland Chapter, six of whom are international Brazilian students and one who is stateside, all juniors or seniors. This cohort had its first meeting in the spring.
