TTU K-12 will celebrate the Class of 2024 with its annual on-site, in-person commencement ceremony May 18 at the McKenzie-Merket Alumni Center on the Texas Tech campus at 2521 17th St. in Lubbock.

Qualifying seniors and their families are invited to attend and can fill out a request form to get confirmation of their eligibility and other important information and deadlines. To ensure inclusion in the printed program, bios and photos should be submitted as quickly as possible. Students also can find the order forms for graduation announcements and their cap and gown on the graduation page.

Cari Moye, principal of TTU K-12, said she and all the staff, teachers and administrators hope students will be able to attend the commencement ceremony as it allows school leaders to truly celebrate the students’ hard work and accomplishments.

“Our commencement on campus brings together a community of students and families who have shared their educational journey with us, and we look forward to meeting them in person and celebrating all they’ve achieved,” Moye said.

The festivities also feature the anticipated mortar board toss, a reception, photo opportunities, and even a visit from the university’s mascot, Raider Red.

Since the inaugural ceremony in 1998, Texas Tech High School has graduated nearly 5,500 students from all over the world. Students complete graduation requirements throughout the academic year, and those who opt to attend the ceremony represent their class when they cross the stage to receive their diplomas.
