During the last week of March, three administrators from Texas Tech K-12 visited Bogotá, Colombia, to conduct site visits at three current partner schools and one potential school site, and participate in a training session. The trio also made a presentation showcasing the school to 10 potential new partner schools.

Acting superintendent Cari Moye said it was clear that the schools, administration, teachers and staff are dedicated to ensuring students receive a quality education in multiple languages.

“It was incredible visiting Bogotá. We had the opportunity to meet with teachers and students and were truly impressed,” Moye said. “The schools were beautiful, thoughtfully integrating nature into their campuses to provide a well-rounded yet rigorous approach to education. We are honored to partner with these schools and be a part of their educational journey.”

Colombia is part of the Liberty Education (Brazil) partnership. The current Colombian school partners are Cambridge Cajicá (LA), Cristo Rey MS and HS (LA) and Cambridge Calera (LA).

The students are starting out with supplemental courses – classes in addition to their regular curriculum that enhance their learning in other content and in the English language.

They are projecting 10 students for Cristo Rey School who will take Public Speaking and 10 students for Gianni Rodari School who will take Digital Art and Design.
