Greetings Texas Tech K-12 Family!

I am honored and excited to serve as superintendent for Texas Tech K-12 and look forward to building on the legacy of the district as a pioneer and leader in virtual learning. By way of introduction, you can read more about me here.

Texas Tech K-12 has developed a reputation for providing a high-quality curriculum and a structure that allows users to work at their own pace. As our enrollment grows, so does the task of meeting the diverse needs of our students, parents and district partners.

This fall, our district will develop a three- to five-year strategic plan to collaboratively develop strategies, goals and timelines to ensure Texas Tech K-12 continues to be a leader in asynchronous, virtual education for students. This will include a plan for improving the quality of our curriculum to make it more meaningful, engaging and relevant for students.

I am committed to open communication with parents to improve the overall student experience in Texas Tech K-12. Over the next couple of months, I will be visiting with parent focus groups to hear about the district’s strengths and opportunities for improvement .

Also, we will host a virtual open house this fall where I’ll meet parents and provide a district update. Keep an eye on your email and our social media for more information.

From here, it’s possible!

Robert Bayard, Ed.D.
