Understanding Mathematical Terms
Refer to the English-Spanish Glossary, which starts on textbook page A39, if you need help with a definition or finding a textbook page with an example for a vocabulary word.
Summary
You solve multi-step inequalities the same way you solve multi-step equations. You only need to remember to change the direction of the inequality symbol when you multiply or divide by a negative quantity. Just like linear equations, inequalities may have no solution or a solution of all real numbers.
