About Me

Lauren D. Shulman-Hill is a spring of 2017 graduate with her BBA in energy commerce, petroleum land management. After a time in the oil & gas industry working for major E&P companies, such as EOG Resources and Repsol USA, Lauren and her husband realized how much they missed Lubbock. Upon returning to Lubbock in the fall of 2022 Lauren accepted the opportunity to further serve Texas Tech as an Assistant Director of Development within the Office of Advancement, and most recently has transitioned into serving the University as Director of Student Involvement under the Vice Provost for Student Life.
During her time as an undergraduate at Texas Tech, Lauren held multiple leadership positions across campus including a cabinet position within Student Government Association, where she acted as the first Director of Ambassadors, Vice President of Membership for Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity,  and Vice President of Judicial Affairs for Texas Tech Panhellenic.
In addition to her leadership roles, Lauren was a member of the Women's Leadership Institute, Delta Gamma Fraternity of Women, Texas Tech Energy Commerce Association, and Rawls Women in Business.
Since graduation, Lauren has remained involved in the Red Raider community and has enjoyed opportunities to speak at donor lunch-and-learns and most recently served as Chair of the Recent Alumni Board for the Rawls College of Business. In addition to her work with the Rawls, Lauren is involved within the volunteer community of the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention, serving as a board member to the West Texas Chapter and lead the State of Texas Legislation Day for the 39th session in 2022, coordinating 200+ volunteers working to advance suicide prevention efforts.
In the spring of 2018, just one short year after graduation, Lauren and her husband, Hunter Hill, began the Christopher A. Shulman Scholarship Endowment in honor of Lauren's late brother and fellow Rawls College of Business alum. This contribution to the college marked Lauren as one of the youngest alumni donors from the Rawls College of Business. In the fall of 2021, Lauren was honored with the inaugural G.O.L.D (Graduate of The Last Decade) Award from the Rawls College of Business. Lauren and her husband are also proud members of the Matador Society of the Texas Tech University System.
